Reduce first, then add
Month, day and year are each reduced on their own before they are added. It’s the most widely taught method and it keeps master numbers from hiding.

11, 22 and 33 stay intact
If any step lands on a master number, we keep it. Plenty of calculators flatten 11 to 2. We don’t.

Y counts as a consonant
For Soul Urge and Personality, vowels are A, E, I, O and U. Same rule every time, so your results never wobble.

How do I calculate my Life Path number?
Reduce your birth month, day and year to single digits separately (keeping 11, 22 or 33), add them together, then reduce again. For 20 July 1969: 7 + 2 + 7 = 16, and 1 + 6 = 7.
What are master numbers?
11, 22 and 33. They are not reduced because they’re treated as amplified versions of 2, 4 and 6. Under 11% of people have one.
Why does another site give me a different number?
Some calculators add every digit at once, which can hide master numbers. We reduce each part first, the most widely taught method. Our method page shows every step.
Do you store my birthday or name?
No. Your numbers are calculated in your browser. If you ask for an AI reading, your first name, numbers and optional question are sent to Claude to write it, and nothing is saved or kept afterwards.
Is the AI reading different every time?
Yes. Your numbers never change, but each reading is written fresh by Claude from a new angle, so tapping “New reading” gives you a different take on the same chart.
Is numerology real?
